Why couples choose live-in care
When one or both partners need care, the thought of being apart can be the hardest part. Live-in care can mean a couple stays together in their own home, with their routines and often their pets around them.
Is one carer enough?
It depends on both partners' needs. One carer can support a couple when their needs fit comfortably within one person's day and night. If both partners need a lot of help, two carers are needed for moving and handling, or nights are often disturbed, one carer may not be enough, and we will talk with you about the options, such as a second carer or extra night support. We will not suggest one carer for two people unless it is safe for both of you.
What it costs
Live-in care for a couple costs from £1,800 a week: £250 a week more than care for one person, where one carer can safely meet both partners' needs. Whether that is possible is assessed for each couple. It can cost less than two care home places. We give you a written quote after a free assessment of you both. Please call 01865 715780.
